In 1996, Rob Adams, Geo-Link’s owner, started a sole-proprietorship mudlogging business under the name of Adams Geo-Engineering. Adams Geo-Engineering performed mudlogging work, primarily for Amoco, and then BP America in the Wamsutter, WY area. In addition, Adams Geo-Engineering did work for Questar in the Uintah Basin south of Vernal, UT. In 2000, Adams Geo-Engineering incorporated as Geo-Link, Inc. Since that time, the company has expanded operations to the inter-mountain region and worked for companies such as BP America, Questar/QEP, Encana, Devon, Anadarko, Whiting, Samson, Enerplus, Continental, Newfield, and Crescent Point.

At Geo-Link, Inc., we provide mudlogging, wellsite geology, geosteering of horizontal wells, gas detection, and mass spectrometry services at the well site on drilling rigs, mainly in the Rocky Mountain region. Our primary goal is to help our customers to drill wells with the highest possible rate of return on their investment by providing them with the data they need to evaluate oil and gas shows in their wells, geosteering solutions that keep the lateral in the “sweet spot” of the target, accurate geological interpretations, and timely reports from the well site. Rob Adams has more than 30 years of oilfield experience, and many of our field personnel have at least 10 years of experience as well. Our clients love the reliable data and geologic interpretations we provide, the professionalism of our field personnel, and the support they get from our office personnel.
